About Us
Rising Up Supports is proudly owned and operated by Gaylene, Stacey, and Belinda. With over a decade of combined experience across the NDIS and Aged Care sectors, we bring both knowledge and genuine compassion to everything we do.
Established in May 2025, Rising Up Supports has continued to grow steadily, built on a strong foundation of trust, integrity, and a commitment to doing things differently. We recognised the need for a better standard of care and set out to deliver it. Our journey began after witnessing too many participants not receiving the quality care and respect they deserve, and we knew change was needed.
Today, we provide services across Lake Macquarie, Newcastle, Maitland, and Raymond Terrace, supporting individuals both in their homes and out in the community.
At Rising Up Supports, people are at the heart of everything we do. We are deeply passionate about giving back to our community and place equal value on both our participants and our team. Our goal is simple: to deliver support that is genuine, respectful, and truly person-centred.
Alongside our NDIS services, we are proud to support a wonderful group of Aged Care clients. We also work closely with many participants who have mental health-related needs, ensuring they receive consistent, reliable, and meaningful support. Building trust, fostering connection, and tailoring our care to each individual is at the core of our approach.

Community & Group Programs
We believe that connection and belonging are essential. That’s why we host a weekly community group every Thursday at Hamilton South Community Hall. These sessions offer a fun and inclusive environment where participants can enjoy activities such as karaoke, dancing, arts and crafts, and a didgeridoo group, along with shared morning tea and lunch.
Participants are encouraged to get involved in cooking and other activities that help build independence and life skills. We also provide donated clothing and shoes to those in need. Most importantly, these gatherings create a welcoming space where people can connect, share a cuppa, and feel part of a supportive community.
Cultural Mentoring & Supporting the Next Generation
During each school holiday period, we run cultural camps for our younger participants. These camps provide valuable opportunities for mentoring, connection, and positive role modelling—helping to inspire confidence and support the next generation to thrive.
We place strong importance on culture, identity, and belonging. Our programs create a safe and respectful space where young people are encouraged to connect with their heritage, learn through storytelling and shared experiences, and strengthen pride in who they are and where they come from. We are committed to supporting cultural understanding, community connection, and the wellbeing of young people as they grow.
